What is a CAAB?
Since 2012, Michele has been a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB), approved by the Board of Professional Certification of the Animal Behavior Society. This requires:
- Advanced degrees with coursework in areas such as animal behavior, comparative psychology, neuroscience, evolution, genetics, and principles of learning
- At least five years of professional experience
- Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and case studies in applied animal behavior
